This is an ancient legend, found all across the Mediterranean area, the legend of the "figa dentata" ( the "fig" with teeth. Go figure). It's a male nightmare, which, to be honest, doesn't bother me in the least tiny bit!

Indeed. An ancient and widespread legend that the vagina is a trap, ie, with inward pointing teeth. It reflects the visceral fear of males towards the mystery that is a woman.
And that's fine by me! LOL

This picture reminds me of a book I once read. I can't remember anything about it except the women were fitted with a device that was essentially a pair of stainless steel, sharpened dentures, to be inserted vaginally, and when activated by intercourse would chew off the male parts. Women were fitted with these devices and then parachuted into enemy territory with the intention of seducing the enemy. The women rebelled and ended up seducing the men on their own side.
Strange book.-

There's a limerick which also characterises the vagina as a thing of menace:
There once was a harlot of Crewe
Who filled her vagina with glue.
She said with a grin
If they pay to get in
They can pay to get out of it too.
Oh dear, are we really such a threat to men?!
By the way, don't you just love that old-fashioned word "harlot"?-

Yes, 'harlot' is a great word - one you can //really// get your tongue around
