This picture reminds me of a book I once read. I can't remember anything about it except the women were fitted with a device that was essentially a pair of stainless steel, sharpened dentures, to be inserted vaginally, and when activated by intercourse would chew off the male parts. Women were fitted with these devices and then parachuted into enemy territory with the intention of seducing the enemy. The women rebelled and ended up seducing the men on their own side.

Strange book.

Indeed. An ancient and widespread legend that the vagina is a trap, ie, with inward pointing teeth. It reflects the visceral fear of males towards the mystery that is a woman.

It's an odd thing isn't it, this blog community. That said I find it fascinating. I've found several good friends here; people I have come to regard as close friends. I doubt we'll ever meet physically, which is a shame. I digress...

Invitations: you're likely to receive a great deal of interest and a large number of invitations. I'm sure you'll find a happy medium with regard who to accept or reject; I tend to accept invitations from those who have similar interests to myself, or who I've swapped comments with. It works for me. :)

As I said, I find it hilarious. I am probably a little more indulgent of these silly excesses than you are, because there has been an entirely healthy mainstream effort to recognise the contributions made to our culture and values by women. Inevitably, some extremists will attribute ALL good things to women and ALL bad things to men. Personally, I think the proportions, percentage-wise, are....... well, best not to go there!

I just find it funny the people that spend their lives speculating if Winnie the Pooh was a female in disguise (the book refers to it as him), other wrote researches if Sherlock holmes was a woman who had to pretend to be a man because she could not get to her position due to women discrimination. etc etc

I think "double entendre" means double understanding, as in dual meaning, while "double entente", which I have not heard used, should be something like simultaneous relationships, or something... unless I have forgotten more than I thought, which is entirely possible.

I was entertained by the double entendre in the kicking remark! Was it deliberate?

Whatever you say. The French say "double entente", but if "double entendre" is more widely recognised among the Anglo-Saxons, who am I to kick against the pricks.

Any theory that Pooh is female rather flies in the face of the unequivocal evidence in the books to the contrary.

But that's just by the by. I really wanted to tell you it's "double entendre", not "double entente", which would probably translate as two-timing.

about 24 hours ago i was exactly in your postion now i have 5

friends which might not seem alot but all i did was kept

inviting people to be my ''freind'' which seems odd at first

but how do u make friends in real life, you go up to a

completey starnger (most times often thats how it works

unless ur a woman and men natuarlly come upto you while you

sit there looking pretty). i thought then let me start

leaving comments on the blogs that i like and then

invite them to be ''friens'' thats seems to be working for me

but there are a few that have denied my invitation but am not

going to lose any sleep over that, but the ''freinds'' i have

made mostly women, not girls but women have been nice.

thats my blogging story so can you guess what am going to do

next.......
